The fact that it shoots video; presents films; receives FM; marshalls a library of 300 MP3s; plays games; accesses the web; retrieves email; runs Java; vibrates; is a calendar, stopwatch, organiser, alarm clock, calculator, database, jukebox – and phone – is a bonus in something that weighs less than a pancake lens.

Zeiss STL Sonnar T* 1700 F/4

Интересно, эта штука стоит дороже самолета или все-таки чуть дешевле? Цитата из официального пресс-релиза (курсив мой):

This 256 kg behemoth also required Carl Zeiss to develop totally new ways of operating a telephoto lens, including servo controlled aiming and focusing.

Если верить блогу The Online Photographer, то этот уникальный объектив был создан в единственном экземпляре для какого-то очень богатого араба — любителя птичек поснимать, и будет показан на стенде Carl Zeiss на выставке Photokina 2006. Кстати, если пересчитывать фокусное расстояние на 35 мм-эквивалент, то получится что-то около 900 мм, что, в общем-то, не заоблачно много — примерно как 600 f/4 на “кропе”.
