  When I retrieved the camera that night, I was happy to find that the entire roll of film had been shot. Below are the photos that were taken.

  Самое удачное время для ночной съемки на самом деле не глубокая ночь, а короткий промежуток времени сразу после захода солнца, когда небо еще не утратило сочной синевы. In this year prices for entry-level DSLRs cross a border of $500 (downsides) and this fact extends a number of happy DSLR-novices. A big advantage of using a SLR or DSLR camera is the ability to swap lenses to fit the job.

  Canon sold 3.18 million single-lens reflex cameras in 2007 compared with Nikon’s 2.98 million, according to a study released Tuesday by market researcher IDC. That represents a 42.7 percent and 40 percent share, respectively, of the 2007 SLR market. It’s a much narrower margin for Canon than in 2006, when it had 46.7 percent of the market, compared with Nikon’s 33 percent.

  I was testing the sharpness of a couple of Canon lenses the other day when I discovered something that blew me away. I got much sharper photos by manually focusing my lenses than if I used autofocus! Right away I thought something must be wrong – the camera must be at fault (maybe that rear focus problem that has haunted some Canon cameras) or maybe the lens was faulty or something like that. How could manual focus give me significantly sharper results than autofocus? Well after testing all my lenses on two camera bodies (a Canon 1ds Mark II and a Canon 1ds Mark III) and then testing my girlfriend’s Nikon D200 with several of her lenses, the conclusion remained the same: Careful manual focus always gave me better results than autofocus did!

  Автофокус – устройство, автоматически наводящее объектив на резкость. Различают “пассивный” и “активный” автофокус. “Активный” автофокус, действие которого основано на инфракрасном или ультразвуковом излучении, может работать в полной темноте, но он более энергоемкий и дорогой. Чаще в “мыльницах” используется “пассивный” автофокус при котором анализируется контраст объекта (максимальный контраст достигается при резком изображении).

It looks like Adobe’s high-end photo editing software packages (like Photoshop and Lightroom) are hot items in the pirated software market.

  The light meter in your camera may fail or you might be in a hurry. Whatever the reason, sometimes it is good to know that at f/16 (an aperture with lots of depth) your exposure on a sunny day should be 1/(ISO Rating) to keep the highlights from clipping. If you have your camera set to ISO 100, this means your exposure should be 1/125 (the closest value to 100). One stop reduction in light due to a faster shutter (to 1/250) requires opening the aperture by one more stop (going to f/11 from f/16).

  Great as the Nokia N93 is in many ways, one unavoidable result of the slightly odd form factor is that you can’t leave it with the video running and prop it up somewhere – at least not without lots of fiddling around. Which, for something that’s so insanely great at shooting video, is a major problem.

  In my area I’ve seen at least three professional wedding photographers (my competition) shut their doors since December. They were all competent photographers. They serviced their clients to their best of their abilities. And at one time they commanded a good share of the wedding business here. But they’ve closed their businesses, at least temporarily, for lack of bookings.

  Turn off your lens’ AutoFocus feature. If you use AutoFocus, the lens is going to refocus every time you move the camera to take a new set of shots. For a small aperture and distant subject, you may not notice the difference in the final shot, but, then again, you might. Using Manual Focus is the only way to go. So, again, adjust your focus so that the main part of your panorama is sharp.

  You don’t need to be a professional photographer to get hot women to take off their clothes and pose nude for free. You don’t even need to know anything about photography. What you need is a camera – even a crappy one – and a few tips from the guys (“heroes” we call them here at TNA) who have done it before.

  Совершенно стандартная схема щипания в метро. Либо на входе-выходе из вагона, либо перед эскалатором. Наиболее наглые на эскалаторе пьяную ваньку могут валять. Часто прикидываются глухонемыми. основные станции где работают группы – все пересадочные. гостинка-невский-маяк-восст-сенная-сад-и тд – практически нон стоп работают там. С ментами делятся, так что их прикрывают.

  Появление камеры, способной делать моментальные фотоснимки, несомненно, факт мимо которого не смогут пройти составители учебников по истории фотографии. Еще бы, даже через 50 лет после появления этих камер самым быстрым способом получить отпечатанный снимок были киоски моментальной печати (сравни размеры киоска и фотоаппарата Полароид). Но это за рубежом, у нас самым быстрым способом в то время, была срочная печать в фотостудии – от момента съемки до получения снимка всего какие-то сутки. Немудрено, что первые Полароиды в нашей стране вызывали живейший интерес и зависть. В конце 80х иметь такой аппарат было так же модно и престижно, как джинсы в 70х.

  A lot has been said about citizen journalism. With everyone packing a digital camera in their pocket — even if it’s only a 2 megapixel iPhone — when something unexpected occurs there are likely to be far more amateur photographers on the scene than professional photojournalists.

  The physical assault stemmed from an incident on Wednesday, when a fellow photographer was attacked by Nicole’s rambo-like trainer while the 53 year old photog was snapping Nicole and her trainer hiking. The trainer stole the guy’s camera which thankfully, was later returned.
