  • Ice Storm Follow Up Visit.

I drove back out new years day to survey the area a little better. It wasn’t too bad in Hastings, but as I drove west of there on highway 6 it got nasty. This was largely the norm out there. Pole after pole after pole….down. On and one from just west of Hastings to at least Holdredge. Exceptions were locations where they had some block from wind, or where they ran n-s. That is a massive area and I can’t imagine how many poles that comes to or how long it will take to fix them all. This shot was southeast of Kearney just south of I80.

  • DigiCamHistory.

DigiCam History Dot Com is a non-profit, educational site provided for the free use of all digital camera enthusiasts. Visitors, including manufacturers, are encouraged to submit topics or photos concerning the historical development of consumer digicams for inclusion on this site as well as corrections, and/or additional information (please provide sources such as URLs that can be easily verified, or arrange to mail hard copies of articles, photocopies of book pages, etc.).

  • A Box Kite!

My wife had a sad little kite, a super grover kite, and she needed a new one. So, I made her a new one. (obviously).

  • Oh Dear Lord! BEEEES!

I am visiting my family in Florida for the holidays. I was chillin at my sister’s house when we looked out back and noticed a swarm of honeybees congregating on their swingset. There are a lot of kids around, including my sister’s 3 kids. They were inside at the time, fortunately.

Автор блога Not a kernel guy, состоящий в команде разработчиков ядра Windows, раскрыл этот секрет.

  • Analog Binary Clock.

Add some binary to your daily life. Besides providing ultimate nerd bling, clocks and watches that display the time in binary are an extremely useful educational tool. These clocks bring binary numbers to everyday life, and after using them for some time you’ll learn to read binary numbers fluently. Clocks that display time in binary commonly use LEDs to display the current time as binary numbers. Here’s a different way to easily construct a binary clock, based on a cheap analog clock. At the end of the conversion, you’ll have a clock that shows the time in both analog and binary.

  • Top10SQLPerformanceTips.
    1. Use EXPLAIN to profile the query execution plan
    2. Use Slow Query Log (always have it on!)
    3. Don’t use DISTINCT when you have or could use GROUP BY
