    You know you’ve always done it. However, it is not uncommon for photographers to indulge in these transgressions. Then again in photography one must remember that there are no rules that you should adhere to. You should just take rules with a grain of salt. I only write this article to show you that you should break these some of these rules as well. Well some of these are some worst case scenario situations as well.

    In the fourth in my series on learning from Old Masters, I want to look at active faces and postures. I see some very creative portraits from time to time, but the vast majority of photographic portraits are static, serene, inactive. There is certainly a place for this kind of portraiture, and there are a lot of old master examples of it. But, as a photographer, if I find that all my portraits are of this kind, then I have evidently missed a lesson from the old masters. Wandering round an art gallery shows that life, activity and vigour were in the painter’s palette of techniques.

  • Nikkor 24−70/2.8 или Tamron 28−75/2.8? Вот в чём вопрос…. Порою мне кажется, что Canon приплачивает Владимиру за регулярное поливание фекалиями никонианских икон. Шутка.

    Так получилось, что в течении нескольких дней, Nikkor 24−70/2.8 был у меня в гостях… За это время, я успел его «пощупать» и сравнить со своим Tamron 28−75/2.8… Делал парные кадры на 28−50−70мм и диафрагмах 2.8−4.0−5.6, по центру и самому краю на Nikon D3, с фокусировкой с помощью LiveView для исключения неточности работы АФ. Даже хотел кропы выложить на всеобщее обозрение, но подумав, не стал делать этого. Почему? Да потому, что апологеты Nikon тут же начнут меня обвинять в том, что я «подстроил» результаты, а те кто решаться купить Tamron, могут запросто напороться на не очень качественный экземпляр, и тоже будут меня обвинять.

    LPA Design has taken the wraps off two additions to its line of radio remote flash and camera triggering devices. Called the MiniTT1 transmitter and FlexTT5 transceiver, they offer wireless TTL control of Canon (and soon Nikon) flashes with some clever twists, a way-cool technology dubbed HyperSync that allows for higher flash sync speeds, new compact shapes (the MiniTT1 is particularly small), user-updateable firmware, interoperability with existing PocketWizards plus superb triggering reliability.

    Вот и получился первый пост о правах фотографов, комментаторов было не так много, поэтому надеюсь появятся новые вопросы, которые послужат почвой для новой записи.

  1. Все можно поправить в Photoshop.
  2. Длиннофокусные объективы дают меньшую глубину резкости.
  3. Фуллфрейм лучше кропа.
  4. Пленка лучше цифры.
  5. Цифра лучше пленки.
  6. Пленка умерла.
  7. Цифра отдает мертвечиной.
  8. Я снимаю только для себя.
  9. Настоящие фотографы снимают в JPEG.
  10. Единственный способ получить шедевр — снимать на дорогое оборудование (вывод: мыльницей нельзя снять хороший кадр).
  11. У меня получаются отличные пейзажи и цветочки, поэтому мне и свадьбу отснять по-плечу.

It allows you to control both Iris (Aperture) and focus control of any Canon EF Lens mounted to a RED One (Link to Wicked Circuits to come.) This will allow us to shoot 4K, 3K and 2K footage at up to 120 fps. The lens (w/ the crop factor) will be the equivalent of a 1280mm 5.6 and up (depending on the resolution we set.) Needless to say – I can’t wait to see what this looks like on the beach!
